This fourth and latest Analytical Brief focuses on the changing landscape of Myanmar in terms of climate, environmental degradation and disaster risk based on a review of recent research, hazard modeling, and available data on living standards (2014-2019) and conflict incidents (2019-2021). It reviews the changing areas and populations at risk of exposure to natural disasters. This Brief includes a short narrative document along with a detailed methodology describing the data and calculations used, as well as the dataset to enable others to take this analysis further.
