Disability Inclusion Strategic and Technical Advisory Group (DISTAG)
In line with the commitment to prioritize the inclusion of persons with disabilities in Myanmar, this group consolidates efforts to mainstream disability inclusion across both the Humanitarian Program Cycle (HPC) and the broader UN Transitional Cooperation Framework. It operationalizes the United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS), which establishes the foundation for sustainable change across Human Rights, Peace and Security, and Development.
Simultaneously, the group recognizes the critical importance of placing individuals with disabilities at the forefront of humanitarian action, ensuring their rights, dignity, and equal access to aid as originally mandated by the national level ICCG.
